due to the economic downturn, i now look at paper money as “scratch” paper and use it to write shopping lists, reminders to myself, etc. sure, the chits are confusing, what with the green ink and all, but let’s be honest here: money ain’t worth the paper on which it is printed.
so, whenever i see someone elevating our lowly [and tragically designed] currency, i am instantly charmed and my hope for a booming economy is renewed. scott campbell, bless, is an artist who uses paper currency (infinitely cheaper than color-aid paper) to create the lovely collages, below.
